Controller
Azumbo is the data controller for Ciro.Map (bundle ID com.azumbo.ciromap; Firebase project azumbo-ciromap). For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@azumbo.com.
Data we collect or process
- Location (when in use): used to sort nearby places, show distances, and open routes. If location permission is denied, Ciro.Map still works without location-based sorting or routing from your current position.
- Identifiers: Firebase may create an anonymous UID for app operation. Google AdMob may process advertising identifiers for ads. Tracking for advertising is requested through Apple App Tracking Transparency only where required and only if you allow it.
- On-device user content: loyalty card barcode data is stored in Keychain and related covers are kept in local storage on your device. After a Remove Ads purchase, Ciro.Map may store the optional Firestore field users/{uid}.ad_free_active to keep the ad-free entitlement in sync.
- Purchases: the one-time Remove Ads purchase (club.ciro.marina.adfree) is handled by Apple StoreKit 2. Ciro.Map reads purchase entitlements on device; Azumbo does not receive your full payment card details.
- Technical logs: Firebase and Google services may process diagnostics, crash, performance, device, and network information under their policies.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not collect background location.
- No account is required for core map and guide features.
Third parties
Ciro.Map uses Apple MapKit and StoreKit, Google Firebase, and Google AdMob. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on consent for optional permissions and tracking, contract or pre-contractual necessity for purchases and requested app functionality, legitimate interests for security and service reliability, and legal obligations where applicable.
Retention and deletion
On-device loyalty wallet data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Anonymous Firebase identifiers and technical logs are retained according to Firebase/Google retention settings and policies. You can request deletion of data reasonably associated with your app identifier by contacting us.
Children
Ciro.Map is a general travel guide and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
International transfers
Apple, Google Firebase, and Google AdMob may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, they use transfer safeguards described in their privacy documentation.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or withdraw consent. To exercise rights, contact privacy@azumbo.com.
Changes
We may update this policy when Ciro.Map changes or legal requirements evolve. Material updates will be reflected by a new last updated date on this page.
